Maxikraft orders 73 Liebherr cranes
The MaxiKraft Group, of Züllsdorf near Torgau, in Germany has ordered 73 mobile cranes from Liebherr in what it claims is the largest order from a German crane rental company in over 10 years. The order covers a wide range of models, from the two axle 30 tonne LTM 1030-2.1 to the 550 tonne eight axle LG 1550 lattice boom truck crane.

The of the first units are handed over (L-R) Karl Passing of Liebherr, Maik Kanitzky and Annett Schewe of Maxikraft and Dieter Walz of Liebherr in Ehingen
The delivery schedule will stretch until the middle of 2006. The cranes are destined for a number of the group’s locations and subsidiaries. Owner Maik Kanitzky said that he is impressed by Liebherr’s mobile crane technology but resale value and service provision were also considerations in his decision.
Kanitzky founded the company 13 years ago and now has a fleet of 150 cranes and employs a workforce of around 300 in 17 separate subsidiaries. The group includes MaxiKraft, Maximum, Kranlogistik Sachsen and Kranlogistik Lausitz.
