Airo approves handling attachment

Italian aerial lift manufacturer Airo has approved the DRXmulti panel and pipe handling attachment made by UK based Aerial and Handling Services, following an extensive test programme at the manufacturer’s plant in Luzzara, Italy.

Airo has certified the device for use on several of its scissor lifts, providing up to four metres of longitudinal support for panels or pipes. It has also tested the attachment on its smaller ‘X’ series of electric scissor lifts, all of which include a standard 1.5 metre deck extension with no load restrictions on the extended platform.

Among others slab scissor lifts tested, the 40ft Airo X14EW was found to be perfectly stable when fully loaded to 450kgs and subjected to a full kerb and side pull test at full height.
