Crane to the rescue

A service body crane was called in to rescue two Truant schoolboys yesterday in San Diego, California.

The two boys were among a group of eight that skipped school and were jumping into the sea at Sunset Cliffs, when the high surf washed them into a small deep and inaccessible cove with a lot of rocks.

The emergency services were called out and used a telescopic service crane equipped with a harness sling to lift the two to safety. The crane was set up on the sandstone cliff edge, but did appear to be using some decent sized mats to spread the load, and all ended well. The rescued boys were taken back to school and cited for truancy, loitering and jumping from the cliffs.

It's Friday ...... Have a great weekend
