Lithium spider for Scheurer
German access rental company Scheurer has taken delivery of the first battery-powered 20 metre Hinowa Lightlift 20.10 IIIS spider lift in Germany.
The 20.10 offers 9.7 metres of outreach, with an up and over height of 8.5 metres and an unrestricted platform capacity of 230kg. The overall stowed dimensions are just over five metres long by 1.3 metres wide or 795mm with the basket removed. Features include one touch outrigger set up, levelling and retraction, auto speed control and extendable tracks.
Powered by lithium-ion batteries, the machine will be used in a range of indoor facilities including shopping centres, airports, sports centres, hotels and industrial buildings. The company claims the lithium-ion version is only slightly slower than a petrol/diesel version and that it only takes two hours to charge to 80 percent.
