New sales head for Outreach

UK based crane, access and offshore supplier Outreach has appointed Ian Valentine as general manager, sales.

Valentine will head the sales team and be responsible for all sales functions within Outreach, working closely with specialist field sales engineers across the company’s diverse range of products and market sectors. His role will include the commercial development and expansion of the sales department, with a focus on bringing additional business across all of the industries in which the company operates, and all of its product lines.

Ian Valentine

Valentine joins Outreach from Linde Material Handling, where he was rental development manager since 2012. Prior to that he spent six years with Briggs Equipment UK, most recently as national engineering services manager and before that a divisional manager. He joined Briggs from Finning where he was national accounts manager having worked with Lex Harvey when it was acquired by Finning. He began his career with a four year stint as business development manager at courier Initial-City link.

Talking of his new appointment he said, “I have known and admired Outreach for a number of years and the opportunity to join the company at this exciting stage in its development was too good to miss. The high quality product range combined with the expertise already held in the company, along with Outreach being held in such high regard in the market place confirmed this was the place where I wanted be.”
