Palazzani for sanatorium

The Chaika Sanatorium located on Russia’s Sakhalin island, near the Sinegorsk mineral springs - 20 km from Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk - has purchased a new 17 metre Palazzani Ragno TZX 170 tracked spider lift.

The machine, supplied by crane and access dealer Vertex, offers 7.5 metres of outreach and a 200kg platform capacity. An overall width of less than a metre and an overall weight of 2,000kg, makes it ideal for the health centre, in that it can pass through all of its standard doorways, climb stairs and kerbs, and auto-level on sloping ground.

The new lift has a Honda engine, along with a 220 volt electric AC motor for indoor use. The machine will be used for the maintenance of the building, sports facilities and communications masts.

The Palazzani Ragno TZX 170 sold to Chaika Sanatorium on Russia’s Sakhalin island

The sanatorium offers recreational and medical treatment of adults and parents with children, its location on the Tatar Strait to the north of Hokkaido, Japan, is said to offer a healthy climate, in an unspoilt region.

Dmitry Pankin, general director of Vertex said: “The Chaika centre announced the tender several times, however, due to the remoteness of the region most Russian dealers were unable to participate and supply the machine. Eventually the buyers made a choice in favour of Italian manufacturer Palazzani. Vertex, an official dealer of Palazzani in Russia, participated in and won the tender. Afterwards, the equipment was transported to Sakhalin across the whole length of Russia.”
