10 big booms for Collé

Dutch rental group Collé Rental & Sales has taken delivery of 10 new 180/185ft self-propelled boom lifts from Genie and JLG.

The Genie SX180s and JLG 185SJ booms will be available to rent from the company’s locations in the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium. Collé says that its rental fleet now exceeds 5,000 units including more than 100 units over 125ft.

The company said: “The performance characteristics of both platforms are unique. In practice, the work platforms will be used for the same purposes, but there are a few major differences. The Genie SX180 has a higher unrestricted working envelope with a platform capacity of 340kg, a unique horizontal rotating jib system and is more compact and lighter than the JLG 1850 SJ. On the other hand the JLG has a slightly higher working height and an extendable jib”.

Director Frits Collé added: "Obviously, our specialists recommend the right machine for your project. If one of these machines is not suitable, we offer alternatives with working heights up to 103 metres. This year we are opening new branches in the Netherlands and Germany".

"We have also made other investments, such as new Magni rotating telescopic handlers - including the 35 metre/4,999kg RTH 5.35, and more than 150 new construction machines. As a specialist in the field of work platforms, 360 degree telehandlers and other construction equipment we offer a wide range of machines at each location."
