Fatal tree incident
A man died yesterday and another is in hospital in a critical condition after the top boom of a bucket truck came down suddenly while trimming trees in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania, Yesterday.
The deceased, Michael Shaud, 53, an employee of Shull's Tree Trimming of Middletown, Pennsylvania, was clearing debris under the boom, when it reportedly came down on top of him.
The man in the bucket was apparently thrown clear and sustained serious injuries, he was airlifted to a hospital where he is said to be in a critical condition.
An investigation into the incident is being carried by the Cumberland County Coroner's Office, Camp Hill Police and OSHA.

At this stage it is not possible to say what caused the tubular top boom to drop suddenly, and photos we have received do not help spread any light on the possible cause. We will update this article when we learn more.
