New Manitowoc for Bigge

US based Bigge Crane & Rigging has taken delivery of one of the first all new Manitowoc MLC650 crawler cranes.

The 650 tonne MLC650 was launched at Conexpo last year and features the innovative Variable Position Counterweight which adjusts automatically to keep the weight of the crane and load centred over the tracks for better spreading of the loads. As a result the crane requires less ground preparation than traditional crawler cranes and can safely pick & carry heavier loads.

Bigge's new Manitowoc raises its boom

The crane has been supplied with a main boom of 104 metres of main boom and optional VPC Max superlift system. The MLC650 is also easier to transport and offers some of the best capacities in its class.

Bigge said: “We are excited to add this best in class lattice-boom crawler to the industry’s best crane fleet.”
