Another shocking incident
A man was taken to hospital in Charleston, South Carolina yesterday after he came into contact with an overhead power line while working from a self-propelled boom lift.
The man was using the 45ft JLG to work on the façade of a church when he inadvertently slewed in to the power lines and was knocked unconscious. The local utility disconnected the power so that firefighters could use a fire ladder to rescue him.
He was rushed to hospital with serious injuries and was reported to be in critical condition.
