How many ladders does it take?

Spotted by a reader from - we are not sure where but think it might be the southern USA -a man working on his own to fit trim to the facia board of a new building.

Rather than use a lift he has cobbled together a collection of at least seven large ladders and after placing them all against the façade climbed up and then stepped from the top of one ladder to the top of another, before, we assume, he climbed down and then relocated all seven ladders to do it all again .

In the words of our correspondent: “I watched a construction worker installing trim around new construction today. He had multiple ladders set up and stepped from one to another as he worked along the roof edge, fastening the trim pieces!”

How many ladders does a man need?

Definitely one for our Death Wish series, but we also cannot help but wonder who thought that this was an efficient or cost effective method, let alone a safe on. We believe that this one might involve a rather large public company?
