20 JCB telehandlers for Jarvie

Scotland’s Jarvie Plant group has taken delivery of 20 JCB telehandlers, part of a 50 machine deal worth £2.75 million

The telehandlers, supplied through dealer Scot JCB, include 15 units of the 17 metre/4,000kg 540-170 and five of the 9.5 metre/3,500kg 535-95 models. Based in Grangemouth near Falkirk, the company has purchased the new machines models to support the expansion of its core fleet expanding branch network, having opened new locations in Dundee last year and Aberdeen this Summer.

Business development director, David Jarvie said: “We use JCB for a wide variety of equipment. There is excellent availability of JCB machines in Scotland which is not always the case with its competitors – so we can generally order machines as demand dictates. The extensive dealer network also ensures a rapid response and the back-up support is second to none – even in the remote areas in which some of our machines operate”.

Jarvie Plant was founded over 50 years ago and is one of Scotland’s largest independent rental companies. It operates over 1,000 machines from locations in Aberdeen, Cowdenbeath, Dundee, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Grangemouth, Irvine and Paisley.
