Crane driver injured

A crane driver was injured when his two axle Liebherr crane left the A59 road near West Marton, North Yorkshire, UK, in thick fog yesterday. The crane is thought to be owned by Harrogate-based Emsley Crane Hire.

Local reports suggest that the crane collided with a wall before ending up in a field early yesterday morning. No other vehicle was involved.
The driver was taken to hospital with a serious head injury.
