New CEO for Bronto parent

Bronto Skylift owner Federal Signal has announced the promotion of Jennifer Sherman from chief operating officer to chief executive, as Dennis Martin moves to executive chairman. The current chairman, James Goodwin, will become lead independent (non-executive) director.

In his newly created role Martin will lead the company's board and will remain actively involved in the company's mergers and acquisitions activities, investor relations, and leadership team development.

Dennis Martin


Jennifer Sherman, 50, joined the company 1994 as corporate attorney, since when she has held a variety of positions of increasing seniority, within the legal, corporate governance and HR areas, including chief administrative officer, general counsel and company secretary.

She was promoted to her current role in May 2014. She is also a non-executive director of Franklin Electric and a member of its management organization and compensation and corporate governance committees.
