UK based sales company Access Platform Sales (APS) has appointed Nathan Cook as business development manager for vehicle mounted platforms.

Nathan Cook

Cook has worked in the equipment industry for 20 years both in the UK and overseas, having started out with Simon Access in 1995 as a sales and marketing trainee. He joins the company from Translink International - the specialist supplier of firefighting platforms and de-icing equipment owned by Dover Disney. He previously worked for Translink in the 1990’s when the company took over the coverage of some Simon products. Prior to re-joining Translink earlier this year, he spent more than two years with JCB as regional aftermarket manager Asia Pacific.

Other steps in his career have included five years with Thomas Betts cables where he was export manager. Six years with Adaptaflex as a key account manager.

“The Aldercote product range is really well designed and well thought-out,” said Cook. “They are class-leading products in terms of design, payload capability and operation. We envisage Aldercote becoming the van mount of choice for many fleet operators, so this is a very exciting opportunity for me and for APS.”

Steve Couling, managing director of IAPS group, which owns APS, added: “Nathan is well known and respected in the industry. He has a great deal of experience in business development of national accounts, making him the ideal person for this role.”
