Potain for Multi-crane

Dutch rental company Multi-Crane International has taken delivery of a new 12 tonne Potain MDT 308 flat top tower crane.

The new crane has a maximum jib length of 70 metres and is fitted with Potain’s Smart Com information system. It can lift 6.2 tonnes to a radius of 45 metres and 2.9 tonnes at its maximum jib tip. Its first job was working on the construction of a new six-story building in Amsterdam where it was erected with a 40 metre jib, lifting loads of up to seven tonnes.

Founded in 1991, Multi-Crane celebrates its 25th anniversary this year and runs tower cranes, self-erecting cranes and mobile cranes. Its new MDT 308 will join its existing fleet of 50 at the company’s headquarters in Alphen aan den Rijn, South Netherlands.

Ralph Breijer of Multi-Crane said: "We have a lot of Potain cranes in our fleet and we’re always very satisfied with their performance and reliability. We have chosen this machine because it offers outstanding loads and is easy to assemble and dismantle.”
