A wider Bibi from Almac

Almac, the Italian manufacturer of compact tracked levelling scissor lifts will unveil a new wider version of its Bibi 850 model at Bauma, along with some new variations to the 850.

The new model – the 20ft 870 range has a variable overall width of 1.3 to 1.5 metres and offers a working height of 7.9 metres, with 250kg platform capacity. It will be available in three different versions , the standard gas/petrol powered Bibi 870-BL, the Diesel powered 870-BL Evo and the 870-BL Hybrid.

The new range has a wider platform, is 1.2 metres wide, and can extend to 2.35 metres long, new power units include the Honda Igx390 petrol on the BL and the Hatz 1B40 diesel on the Evo. New features also include dynamic automatic levelling that allows the machine to level automatically as is moves over changing ground conditions. Levelling capability is 15 degrees side to side and 20 degrees longitudinally.The BL weighs in just under two tonnes, while the Evo is just under 2.5 tonnes.

The new Almac Bibi 870


The Bibi 870-BL Hybrid combines the petrol engine with 220V-2,2Kw generator and a 48 volt Lithium battery Power pack 110Ah-48V. The company’s first hybrid machine.

The company will also show the Bibi 850-HE with four automatic and independent levelling jacks which can level on slopes of up 24 degrees.
