Genie offers high capacity

Genie has announced XC versions of its 45ft Z45/25 articulated boom lifts with double the platform capacity of standard machines.

The new Z-45/25XC is based on the current Z-45/25J RT Rough Terrain diesel articulated boom lift at Bauma, but will offer a restricted capacity, with the boom retracted of 454kgs, compared to the 227kg of the standard machine. The new unrestricted capacity is 300 kg. The retracted boom envelop cuts outreach by only 1.7 metres. Other changes required to handle the improved platform capacities include a larger reinforced rotator support, a wider jib and redesigned cylinders. The machine also incorporates the 1.83 metre/6 ft dual-entry platform and reinforced components to support additional weight in the platform
