AFI gains airside certification at Gatwick

UK based rental group AFI has been approved to deliver powered access equipment for airside work at Gatwick Airport.

The company has a depot close by in Kent, and can now deliver and collect access equipment directly to contractors and other personnel within all zones at the airport.

Business development manager Ben Hammill said: “We have been working with a number of contractors at other sites and they asked if we could supply them with machines at Gatwick Airport, so we are delighted to have gained this approval. It means that contractors working at the airport now have a wider choice of powered access suppliers. We have a fleet of over 500 machines, drivers and service engineers within easy reach of the airport and can also call upon our national fleet to meet all requirements.”
