Second generation spider

Italian spider lift manufacturer Palazzani has introduced a new 48 metre Ragno XTJ 48.1 to replace the XTJ 48.

The new lift features a 49.2 metre working height, 19.3 metres of outreach and a maximum platform capacity of 330kg. As with the older model, the XTJ48.1 is available on both tracks and wheels. It has an overall length of just under 8.9 metres a stowed width of 1.45 metres, which can extend to 1.9 metres for greater stability

New features include: COS (Clever Outreach System) which automatically calculates the maximum outreach and platform capacity to match the actual outrigger set up selected, ACD (Advanced Control Diagnostic) with a colour touch screen monitor providing advanced diagnostic functions, - EPC (Electric Power Controller) motor controller that provides the best power optimisation to match the function speeds and power required.

Power sources include either Bi-energy- Diesel/AC - or Eco with battery and AC. Both power choices are matched to variable displacement hydraulic motors, to offer a wide range of speeds and precision control, with simoultaneous function operation .

The first unit has been sold to a customer in Hong Kong.

The company has also delivered a new 52 metre Ragno XTJ 52/C Bi-energy, to Italian rental company Eurotecno,
