Access Link Appoint first AMP replacement
The Access Link, the UK association of independent powered access rental companies held a meeting last week to discuss the acquisition of member AMP by the Lavendon group.
The Link members mutually agreed with AMP that it should leave the Link, now that it is part of the Lavendon group. The meeting then considered applications from prospective new members which have applied to fill the gaps left by Panther and AMP,s departure.
Light Hire Ltd, the Exeter based access rental company was elected for the South West region, while other applications were held over until the next meeting on July 6th. Further appointments should be announced following that meeting.
Ruairi Duggan of UpLift, speaking for the Access Link, said;
"We are delighted to welcome our newest member to the Link. Light Hire Ltd will be covering the South West of the country. They have built a superb reputation in this region and with their commitment to customer service they are sure to further strengthen the Link and continue the great work done by AMP".
Mike Boyle chairman of AMP said "we were obviously sacked as members, but in a very nice way. I wish them good luck and every success for the future".
