National Construction Week set for success
Support for the National Construction Week 2002 has risen by 40 per cent on last years event, with 90 days to go.
From 3-10 October, at least 106 companies, industry organisations and educational facilities will be involved in a national campaign to encourage young people to sign up for construction careers.
The many supporters include the Construction Industry Council, House Builders Federation, Chartered Institute of Building, Construction Products Association and Institute of Civil Engineers.
Michael Latham, chairman of the Construciton Industry Training Board, has encouraged more industry members to get involved, saying “Recruitment is high on everyone’s agenda and NCW 2002 offers an effective way for the industry to come together to promote itself to young people."
