Goldhofer splits
German trailer manufacturer Goldhofer has split its business into two segments - Airport Technology and Transport Technology, reflecting the different demands and customer requirements in the two sectors.
As part of this move it has appointed Lothar Holder as main board director for the Airport Technology division, which will include Schopf Maschinenbau and Goldhofer Towbarless tugs and baggage tractors. Holder is currently chief executive of Schopf. He was previously managing director of the Schulz group since 2013, and before that he was chief executive of the Setra division at EvoBus for three years.

Lothar Holder
Holder began his career with MTU Friedrichshafen in 1989 as regional marketing manager, Asia and Australia, before becoming regional sales manager in 1992. A year later he was promoted to head up sales in the Middle East with responsibility for Kuwait, Qatar and Bahrain, before moving to the North American side of the business in 1998 as general manager sales.
Three years later he became head of market development at Daimler Chrysler, following its acquisition of MTU, he was then promoted to managing director of Daimler’s Detroit Diesel division and in 2004 was appointed to head up sales of Mercedes trucks. In 2007 he moved to Kawasaki in Japan as head of sales and marketing for Mitsubishi's truck and bus division.
