Linesman dies in overturn

A utility worker died last week after the bucket truck he was working from overturned in Wayne, town ship, Pennsylvania.

The incident occurred last Sunday, James George, 54, was working on a pole mounted transformer at height of around nine metres when his platform lost stability and overturned sideways. It appears to have been set up on a slope. He landed on the roadway and was pronounced dead at the scene.

First Energy issued the following statement: "The FirstEnergy family suffered a tragic loss today. A Penn Power lineman working in a bucket truck was killed when his truck overturned. The incident took place in Wayne Township in western Pennsylvania. Our thoughts are with his family, friends and co-workers. Our investigation into this incident has begun, and we will cooperate fully with all public officials in their investigations, as well."

Pennsylvania State Police are investigating Wayne Township is roughly half way between Harrisburg and Allentown.
