Kark steps aside

Oliver Kark, chief executive of German rental company Starlift has temporarily stepped down from his post due to an urgent health issue in the family.

While not wishing to be more specific, he told Vertikal.net that he absolutely needed to devote all of his time and attention to the family through what will be a difficult time. He will return to the company as soon as the family member has recovered. He has the full support of owner Kiloutou and has handed his duties to a team of long serving senior employees who will be assisted by Kiloutou vice president Patrick Rybicki.

Rybicki said: "We respect the decision of Oliver Kark and wish his family a lot of strength and all the best in the upcoming time. Mr Kark has successfully managed Starlift following the takeover and the Kiloutou team hopes for his imminent return."

Kiloutou acquired Hamburg based Starlift last March and Oliver Kark took over the management of the company shortly thereafter, as his father Hans-Dieter Kark retired.
