UPA expands operations

UK based rental company United Powered Access (UPA) has appointed two new staff members and expanded its fleet.

Thomas Hughes joins the company’s technical department as a LOLER engineer, he previously worked with Skyjack. At the same time Mykel Hodgson joins the business as sales account manager, he was previously employed in a similar role at HSS.

As to the rental fleet the company has added 40ft Skyjack SJIII 4740 slab electric scissor lifts and Pop-Up IQ10 low level scissor lifts, along with a number of Manitou Rough Terrain forklifts. It is also investing in upgrades and additions to its transport and delivery fleet.

Hire and operations controller Jason O’Brien said: “The business has gone from strength to strength over the past few years. “In order to manage the increased workload, whilst maintaining the level of service our existing customers have become accustomed to, we have added to the team.
