The company dipped its toe in the market at this year’s Vertikal Days and following a positive response has confirmed the appointment of Wilson - the founder of Wilson Access Hire in 2002 - which was acquired by AFI in 2013. The company will offer truck mounted platforms from 55 to 103 metres, along with its latest innovation of high wind speed machines, which are designed to work safely in winds up to 20.8 metres a second.
The company also makes a point of purchasing machines with high specifications, including heated platforms for the far north, working lights and on-board generators. Oversized spreader plates are included on the machines as standard.

Steffensen said: “We welcomed Tom on board in the first quarter of 2017 and we are already seeing results that demonstrate the UK access market is ready and welcoming the high specification equipment that BMS offers and enjoying the benefits we bring. With Tom’s background and his reputation for delivering quality and service we are the perfect fit.”
Wilson added: “From the first discussions I had about BMS and learning about their fleet, their standards and their quality I felt this was a great opportunity to join a professional organisation that shares my beliefs. I’ve never seen truck mounted cherry pickers assembled with as much additional equipment as BMS is offering and I see the benefits for all projects large or small.”
