New VP for Hiab forestry cranes
Hiab has promoted Hans Ekman as vice president, forestry & recycling cranes, he will be based in Raisio, Finland and report to Joakim Andersson, head of Hiab's cranes business. He was previously director for sales and product business management – of Multilift demountables He joined the company in 2001 as a product manager and has held a number of increasingly senior roles since then then.

Hans Ekman
Ekman replaces Jon Lopez who is leaving the company, having held the job since 2015 when he moved from the company’s plant in Poland. He started out at the company’s Spanish operation in 2012.
Joakim Andersson said: "Hans has worked for Hiab's demountables business Line in several roles, and has gained excellent and versatile business and industry knowledge and has great leadership skills. I am very delighted to have him join the Cranes team to ensure that under his leadership we continue on the successful path with strong focus on growing Hiab's forestry and recycling business.”
Ekman added: "Over the last years, Hiab has regained a strong position in the forestry cranes segment with its renowned Loglift and Jonsered brands. This opens up new business opportunities within and beyond forestry, and has positioned Hiab again as a pioneer with the ground-breaking HiVision control system. As an independent business unit, the Forestry & Recycling business line will continue to aim for further growth in these important business segments for Hiab."
