Grove expands Industrial line
Grove has updated and expanded its line of YardBoss industrial cranes. The 20 t capacity YB7722 and YB7722XL replace the 18.1tonne 7720/7720XL models. While the 8 tonne YB4409-2 is a new addition to the product line.
All three models are built for Grove by Shuttle lift under the OEM agreement that the two companies signed in June 2004

The YB7722 and 22XL are essentially beefed up versions of their predecessors with the same 13.1 metre, three-section and 20.4 metre, five-section booms, plus optional 5.2 metre offsettable jib.

The upgraded YB7722XL
Doyle Bryant, director of new product development, said “We’ve added stiffeners and other components to reinforce the chassis on this crane. This helps make the crane more durable for demanding applications.”
The YB4409-2 is a new unit created by taking the chassis of the 7.7 tonne YB4409 and matching it to the superstructure from the 9.5 tonne YB4411.

The new Yardboss 4409-2
The three-section 9.5 metre main boom and the offsettable jib provide up to 14.6 metres of reach, giving the YB4409-2 a 2.5 metre advantage over its nearest competitor says Grove.
As far as Europe is concerned the YardBoss product range is currently only marketed in Germany, where the company has been evaluating the viability of pick and carry industrials for Europe.
