Tat Hong consolidates Sarawak/Brunei

Tat Hong has acquired the 10 percent minority stake in Brunei based Tat Hong Crane Sdn Bhd, and merged it into its wholly owned business Tat Hong Crane Rental (Sarawak) Sdn. Which is located in Sarawak, the Malaysian state which surrounds Brunei.

The move is aimed at stepping up its activities in the country, the 10 percent stake is held by Reuben Fang Kok Cheng, a Brunei citizen and the sole proprietor of New Heights Company which is involved in the provision of crane rental, transportation and related services.

Tat Hong Crane is involved in crane rental services as well as heavy lift and marine engineering, maintenance and repair of heavy machinery and industrial equipment as well as the sales of heavy machinery and industrial equipment. The incorporation of the business was funded through internal resources.

The move follows Brunei’s further easing of foreign ownership rules that began in 2016.
