Tanfield Promotes Kell and announces first half numbers

The Tanfield group, parent of UpRight powered access, has promoted Darren Kell to the post of group chief executive recognising the role that he has been playing over the past year.

Brendan Campbell has been promoted to the position of group operations director.

Tanfield has also released is first half numbers which we will report on later today, once we have asked a few questions. In summary though the group had revenues of £16.5 million, 60 percent up on the same period in 2005.

Access revenues were £3.1 million but with the UpRight acquisition coming in June, this is largely Aerial related.
As a comparitive number, total sales for the full 12 months of 2005 were only £4.1 million.

Profits before tax were £1.94 million compared with a barely break-even situation in the first half of 2005.
