Magni to use Liebherr slew drives
Liebherr is to supply Magni with slew motors for its 360 degree telehandlers, the deal covers Liebherr’s DAT 200 drive - the smallest in its DAT range - with three stage coaxial planetary drive, with high pressure piston motor drive and integral spring operated hydraulically released wet brake. The drive can be adjusted to eliminate any backlash.
Magni says that the new drives will provide more precision, something that will be particularly beneficial for the use as a work platform. The drives will be installed on all new Magni telehandlers from 26 to 39 metres, and will be installed in the 46 metre RTH 6.46 model later in the year.

Magni product manager Eugenio Magni said: "As a manufacturer that always aims at equipping our machines with the most innovative, modern and reliable components, we are very proud to have such a co-operation with one of the world's best manufacturers of machinery and components. This new slewing drive will give our machines greater precision and smoothness during slew, as well as more precision when it stops. Indeed, the possibility to have components by such a manufacturer can only increase our quality on the market."
