New chairman at ALLMI
Alan Johnson of SJB crane stepped down as the chairman of the Association of Lorry Loader Manufacturers and Importers (ALLMI) yesterday, having served his three year term.

He handed over to Mark Rigby of TH White, the Palfinger distributor, who previously served as commercial director of ALLMI, and ahas now been appointed as the new chairman.
In recognition of Johnson’s contribution over the past three years, during which time ALLMI has grown and changed significantly, he was presented with a three decanter Tantalus. Mark Rigby made the presentaiton at the start of the General meeting, on behalf of ALLMI members.

For the next six months until a new commercial director is appointed at the next AGM, Johnson will take assume that role.
The subsequent meeting covered a range of topics, from the start of a detailed statistical exchange, to new regulations to the new ALLMI buyer’s co-operative which is already yielding some significant savings for members.
