Crane to the rescue

A crane from Tandem Cranes in Cape Town, South Africa, was called into help rescue three seals stranded in a dry dock earlier this week.
The stranded seals

The three Cape fur seals were trapped in the Robinson Drydock, in the V&A Waterfront, in the city, after the water was drained. Ongoing work on ships in the dock was very loud and the animals were clearly stressed, but unable to escape.

The dry dock staff called on the Two Oceans Aquarium to help rescue with the help of the team at Tandem cranes.
A job well done - just another day for a crane operator

They were eventually returned to the open water unharmed. The entire episode was captured on the video below. You can learn more about the aquarium's seal conservation programme on www.aquarium.co.za
