Swiss Liebherr MK 88 Plus

Swiss crane rental company VHB has taken delivery of a Liebherr MK 88 mobile self-erecting tower crane.

The four axle MK 88 Plus is a development from the standard MK 88, and can handle 2.2 tonnes at its maximum radius of 45 metres with an under hook height of 59 metres. The new crane’s first job was helping with the construction of an interior courtyard at a supermarket in Lausanne, western Switzerland.

The MK 88 is handed over

Managing director Philippe Porret said: “To date we have been very satisfied with our MKs and that is why we decided to buy another mobile construction crane from Liebherr.”

VHB operates from six locations, with around 200 employees. The MK 88 joins a fleet that also includes Liebherr MK 110 and MK 140 self-erecting tower cranes, and a 50 tonne Liebherr LTM 1050-31 All Terrain crane.
