New Palfingers for Gibsons
UK haulage company Gibsons of Kendal has taken delivery of a Palfinger PK 78002 SH D loader crane, with another on order.
Mounted on a Scania R500 8x2 chassis, PK 78002 SH D offers a load moment of 74.7 tonne/metres and can handle 4.85 tonnes at its maximum radius of 13.7 metres. The model also comes equipped with Palfinger’s High Performance Stability Control (HPSC) system, allowing for variable positioning of the stabilisers.

Gibsons’ new PK 78002 SH D
Owner Ray Gibson said: “This is our ninth crane from Palfinger UK, with yet another crane on order for the summer. Our vehicles are used for a variety of applications including transporting water turbines, electric panels, transformers, cabins, containers, gate houses, generators, camping pods and art sculptures. We have always found that Palfinger cranes are more reliable and capable of heavy lifting tasks especially in challenging situations.”
