One of the two cranes lost its top

The incident occurred at the Lumpini Park Riverside project, on Rama III road, in central Bangkok, where two apartment blocks are being built by LPN Development. The superstructure of one of the two cranes on the project broke away from its tower and dropped to the ground, striking the fifth floor on the way killing two men working there, then landed on the second floor where another two died. At least five others are reported to be seriously injured.

I agree with you @Edwardy, the wind speed was not forecasted and analyzed due to which the accident happened.

This is such a horrible incident. A lot of such accidents can be prevented with proper crane safety and load indicators such as provided by Crane Warning Systems Atlanta.

These terrible accidents breaks my heart.I still remember the day when My uncle bought warning systems for his crane operator. It really helped the operator to remove blind spot and analyze the speed of wind. you can find it here: https://www.cranewarningsystemsatlanta.com/

The condition of operator must be horrible. Looks like the speed of wind was too much to handle. Crane should be equipped with wind speed indicators of Crane Warning Systems Atlants to analyze and forecast future as well as current wind speed

Accidents are terrible. Cranes need to be equipped with crane systems that ensure safety and prevent crane accidents, from Crane Warning System Atlanta. These pictures are heartbreaking. Safety precaution should be taken.

The worker is inside a ladder cage. Perhaps his injuries prevented climbing upward to the bend then trying to turn around to climb downward. May God rest his soul and may he Rest In Peace. Condolences to his family and co-workers.

The man trapped on the tower must have been an operator. It seems that he must have seen that something goes terribly wrong with his machine, and tried to evacuate, when the disaster struck. He was later extracted from the tower (though I do not know by what means), but on the ground died from the loss of blood, apparently being wounded by the bending and preaking superstucture.

If you look closely in the 2nd picture you will see a man clinging to the structure. Drone footage of the man hanging there can be found on youtube.
