ELS Lift moves into UK

Turkish aerial lift manufacturer ELS Lift has appointed material handling sales and rental company Euro Mechanical Handling (EMH) as its UK distributor.

Based in Bellshill near Glasgow, EMH was established in 2009 and offers a wide range of aerial lifts, telehandlers and forklift trucks for short or long term rental. The company, part of the ZL group, acquired Active Access in 2016, and is also the distributor for Hyundai forklift trucks. It will now distribute ELS’ range of scissor lifts, boom lifts and mast type lifts, as well as new telehandlers, which will go into production later this year.

EMH managing director Seref Zengin said: “We’re comfortable that ELS’ current range is a brilliant fit for the UK market and have already planned demos for some of our key accounts. A very well built scissor range and the impressive VM series gives us over at the ZL Group an easy enough task.”

ELS Lift general manager Kerem Bayrak added: “After a long search for the right partner in the UK, we have finally found it. The EMH team are notably knowledgeable within this sector, and have the support of the ZL Group that will be able to benefit the business as a whole. We at ELS welcome the EMH team on board.”

ELS says that it plans to appoint more dealers later in the year around the UK to cover other parts of the country, along with a distributor for Ireland. In addition to this it will shortly launch its new mast lift, the 13ft VM6, which will go into production at the end of the first quarter. It offers a 240kg platform capacity, has an overall width of 760mm and weighs 910kg.
