Harness helps save lineman

A lineman working for a cable television company Comcast, had to be rescued on Friday after the platform levelling on his on his bucket truck failed causing it to tip suddenly to the horizontal, leaving him hanging near the top of a utility pole in Kensington, Maryland in the greater Washington DC metropolitan area.

Thankfully the man was wearing a harness with lanyard attached to the platform anchor point. What caused the platform levelling to fail has not been revealed and is not clear from the information and photographs that we have received.
