Curnutte to retire from Link Belt

Link-Belt product manager of telescopic truck and All Terrain cranes, Rick Curnutte is to retire at the end of March after 31 years with the company.

Curnutte joined Link-Belt as an associate design engineer in 1987, having graduated from the University of Kentucky with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He was heavily involved with the development of the 70 ton/63.5 tonne HTC-8670 truck crane, and also contributed to Rough Terrain developments of that time.

In 1996 he moved to a new role as product marketing specialist for truck cranes, becoming marketing manager for all on highway products in 2004. As the product manager for on-highway cranes, he helped set the course for Link-Belt’s entry into the All Terrain market with the development of Link-Belt’s own product line.

Curnutte has also been active on AEM’s - Association of Equipment Manufacturer’s - Statistics Committee since joining in 2008 and serving as statistics chairman since 2013.
