Cargotec restructures Kalmar
Cargotec is to reorganise its reachstacker and port crane manufacturer Kalmar into three divisions: Kalmar Mobile Solutions, Kalmar Automation Solutions and Navis, with the changes due to come into effect on April first.
As part of the change it has appointed Stefan Lampa as president of Kalmar Mobile Solutions. The current president of Kalmar Antti Kaunonen becomes president of Kalmar Automation Solutions while Benoit de la Tour continues in his current role as president of Navis. All three will report to Cargotec chief executive Mika Vehviläinen.

Stefan Lampa
Lampa joins the company from Kuka Robotics where he has been chief executive of Kuka Robotics for the past four years. His entire career has spent in robotics most with ABB, having started with the group in 1995, originally to start up a robotics business in Mexico. Moving through a number of roles he was appointed ABB global head of Robotics and Applications in 2011, moving to Kuka four years later.
The Cargotec executive board will be made up of the following executives:
Chief executive Mika Vehviläinen, chief financial officer Mikko Puolakka, head of HR Mikko Pelkonen, Mikael Laine responsible for strategy, chief information officer Soili Mäkinen, Stefan Lampa, president, Kalmar Mobile Solutions, Antti Kaunonen, president, Kalmar Automation Solutions, Hiab president Scott Phillips and MacGregor president Michel van Roozendaal.
Vehviläinen said: "The changes announced today form an important step in our ambition to transform Cargotec from a good to a great company. The new Kalmar organisation will help us focus on the growth opportunities in port automation business as well as drive profitable growth and customer centricity through solution sales and world class supply chain in Kalmar Mobile Solutions. Our structure supports our strategy, and the new organisation will further enhance our strategy execution. I want to thank Antti Kaunonen for his excellent work in Kalmar so far and wish both him and Stefan the best of luck in their new roles."
