Another Liebherr for Eastern

UK rental company Eastern Crane Hire has taken delivery of a 40 tonne Liebherr LTM 1040-2.1 All Terrain crane.

The two axle LTM 1040-2.1 features a 35 metre main boom, at which it can handle 7.4 tonnes at full height when fully extended and 1.1 tonnes at its maximum radius of 31 metres. It is the second LTM 1040-2.1 to join the Eastern fleet – having taken delivery of its first one nearly two years ago.

Eastern Crane’s new LTM 1040-2.1

Director Christopher Ashworth said: “We are delighted to take delivery of our second LTM 1040. The support and service from Liebherr since our first purchase in May 2017 continues to impress. The VarioBase system has proved to be a huge benefit to us, assisting greatly when we are faced with a restricted site. Feedback from both customers and operators has been positive and we look forward to continuing to expand our fleet with Liebherr cranes.”
