Gottwald for Swedish port
Swedish port terminal Uddevalla Hamn has ordered a Konecranes Gottwald G HSK 3432 Model 3 rail mounted portal harbour crane.
The crane - ordered in the two rope variant - has a maximum capacity of 100 tonnes and a maximum radius of 46 metres. Uddevalla has ordered the crane with an external power supply, to make use of local grid electricity in order to reduce costs and emissions. It will be delivered towards the end of the year.

Managing director Ulf Stenberg said: “We had a Konecranes Gottwald mobile harbour crane installed in 1986. Its longevity is impressive – it still works well, though of course, we’ve kept up maintenance. We like this crane a lot, but it can only lift 40 tonnes and we wanted a more powerful crane to help us manage the growing demands for cargo handling in our terminal.”
Konecranes regional sales manager Hans-Juergen Schneider added: “This is very exciting for us and our local distributor, Port-Trade Denmark. It’s the first Konecranes Gottwald portal harbour crane in Sweden and the market is now wide open for this type of crane.”
