UK civil engineering company Bylor - a Laing O'Rourke and Bouygues Travaux Publics joint venture – has taken delivery of a 45 tonne Grove RT550E Rough Terrain crane.

The RT550E features a five section, 39 metre main boom plus an eight metre swingaway extension which can be offset at zero, 20 or 40 degrees. The crane includes external green LED lights for seat belt activation and a 360 degree wireless camera system with remote viewing capability. The crane was delivered by Grove’s UK dealer Crowland Cranes, for work at the Hinkley Point C nuclear power station.

Bylor general plant manager John McCoppin said: “The Grove crane has been a welcome addition to our growing fleet. In this lift range, it is very flexible and because of its driver friendly operation, our crew love it. Crowland Cranes has ensured a seamless hand over from sale to onsite familiarisation, which gives us great confidence in their team to support our operation.”
