UK rental company SHB Vehicle Hire has received the first 10 units of an order for 30 13.5 metre Versalift VTL-135-F van mounted platforms.
Mounted on a 3.5 tonne Ford Transit, the VTL-135-F provides an outreach of 8.4 metres with an unrestricted platform capacity of 120kg, while an outreach of 6.2 metres is possible with the maximum capacity of 230kg. The first unit was delivered at Vertikal Days earlier this month, with deliveries scheduled to run through October.
SHB Vehicle Hire product manager Ian Burton said: “We are keen to keep expanding the diversity of our fleet and by working with Versalift, we know we can achieve that.”
Versalift UK regional sales manager Chris Wrenn added: “I am delighted that SHB have continued to support our innovative approach to design with the VTL. We set out to produce a working platform that offers the very best in terms of productivity and safety for the operator and I am pleased to say that SHB are one of a number of customers that have embraced it.”
Family owned SHB Hire was established in 1968, and is based in Romsey, Hampshire, southern England. The company runs a fleet of over 16,000 vehicles including aerial lifts, cars, light commercial vehicles, heavy goods vehicles and golf buggies.
