Dropped load lands on truck cab

A tower crane dropped a pallet load of concrete bricks onto a lightweight truck in Gzira, Malta yesterday.

The scene in Gzira yesterday

The incident occurred on the reconstruction of a building on the front overlooking the Manoel yacht marina in this western suburb of Valetta. The bricks had been unloaded from the truck and hoisted into the air when something gave way, dropping the load directly onto the cab of the truck, totally destroying it.
Thankfully no one was sitting in the cab at the time, or we would be looking at a fatal incident now. In fact no one was even hurt.
