Tree worker fatality

A man trimming trees from an aerial work platform died yesterday in Wichita, Kansas after coming into contact with overhead power lines yesterday.

The emergency services had to wait almost an hour for the power lines to be fully deactivated and declared safe before they could lower the platform. When they did the man was had already passed away.
The man was 53 year old professional tree worker Sergio Escalera who was understood to have been working with a local tree company Asplundh Tree Expert.
