250t Liebherr for Henneberger

German crane rental company Henneberger Schwerlast has taken delivery of a 250 tonne Liebherr LTM 1250-5.1 All Terrain crane.

The new crane becomes the company’s ‘flagship’ model. It features a 60 metre main boom plus a 12.2 to 22 metre 36 metre bi-fold swingaway extension with up to 45 degrees of offset. A wide range of extension options are available, topped by 50 metres of lattice, all of which can be offset by up to 45 degrees. The maximum tip height is 113 metres.

The five axle crane will mostly be used for heavy machinery movements in the automotive and glass manufacturing industries as well as handling prefabricated concrete components and the erection and dismantling of tower cranes.

Henneberger’s new Liebherr LTM 1250-5.1

Owner Mario Henneberger said: “The LTM 1250-5.1 is currently the most powerful five axle crane on the market and, in addition to its extremely high lifting capacity, it delivers excellent flexibility. This includes the modular structure of its lattice extensions and folding jib as well as its adjustable counterweight, VarioBallast. The VarioBase support base was another major factor in our decision-making process as it provides significantly greater flexibility for jobs on constricted sites.”

“We like the standard crane control system in small and large cranes alike. That enables us to be more flexible with our operators, when we are short handed. We also benefit from the commonality when it comes to maintenance and repair work.”
