Coopers Equipment expands in Ontario
Canadian rental company Coopers Equipment Rental has opened a new branch in Barrie on the North side of Toronto, Ontario. The new branch takes the number of locations the company operates from to 42, across the provinces of British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario and Quebec.
The Barrie branch is located on a 1.5 acre plot with more than 1,000 square metres of covered space from offices and workshops etc.. The company was previously home to a construction company. The company runs a large fleet of aerial work platforms and telehandlers along with spider and pick & carry cranes.

The company was founded by president Darryl Cooper and chief executive Doug Dougherty in 1972, but has been majority owned by SeaFort Capital since 2013 and has expanded the business from four locations then to 42 through a series of acquisitions and organic growth. SeaFort also owns crane rental company
A.W. Leil, having acquired it in 2012.
