Electric Böcker for Wendel

German sales and rental company Wendel Arbeitsbühnen has taken delivery of a six tonne Böcker AK 46/6000 aluminium boomed truck crane, with an AC power option for crane and work platform operation. The company also has a four tonne Böcker AK 37/4000 truck crane on order.

Mounted on 26 tonne three axle MAN chassis, the AK 46/6000 features a four section 33 metre main boom, plus a three section 11 metre offsetable jib, to which a two metre extension can be added for a maximum tip height of 46 metres. The crane can handle its maximum capacity at an eight metre radius or take one tonne out to 26 metres.

The AK 46/6000 is also equipped with an extending work platform option offering a maximum 40 metre working height, and a maximum outreach of 33 metres with the 100kg unrestricted capacity, or 27 metres outreach with the maximum 350kg platform capacity.

In addition to the regular PTO hydraulic drive, the crane/platform can be plugged into to a 400 volt three phase AC outlet once on site, and work on lower cost electric power with zero emissions and low noise levels, while saving engine wear and tear etc. The AK 37/4000 features a 23.3 metre main boom and a 11 metre offsetable jib and will be delivered in September.
